March 2015

The Melba School District would like to thank all the patrons of the Melba School District for coming out and participating in the bond vote for the new elementary school. News coverage of the election has the bond passing by 76.1%, the best voter approval of any levy or bond that the district has run in the past eight years. Thank you for supporting our local schools. We would also like to thank the countless volunteers, committee members, teachers, and parents who worked so hard on getting the word out on the supplemental levy.

We would like to thank the Melba Senior Center and Owyhee County Planning and Zoning for allowing us to present informational meetings in their buildings. This bond would not have been as successful if not for all the work of our entire community during the past several months. Thank you to all the volunteers who put in many hours toward the school bond and to all the voters who showed up at the polls.

The Melba School Board remains committed to providing an elementary school that meets the needs of the district both for today and the foreseeable future in a fiscally responsible manner. We are excited about this opportunity to increase the capacity and safety of our elementary school. We look forward to community participation as we finalize the building plans of the new elementary school. Your input is appreciated and always taken into consideration.

Sincerely,

Andrew Grover
Superintendent
